Safranin O Solution (For Staining Nuclei)

Safranin O has several uses in histology and cytology but is commonly known for counterstaining nuclei red. This formula contains acetic acid providing a lower pH that reduces non-nucleic background and cytoplasmic staining. This solution is not suitable for bacterial (gram) or cartilage staining.
